Historic ties between Bahrain, UK stressed

ManamaCrown Prince, Deputy Supreme Commander and First Deputy Prime Minister HRH Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa yesterday met the Duke of Westminster, Gerald Cavendish Grosvenor, at Gudaibiya Palace.

Welcoming the Duke to Bahrain, the Crown Prince highlighted the longstanding and historic ties between Bahrain and the United Kingdom, and noted their steady and continued growth.

In this regard, Prince Salman noted that the growth of relations is aligned with His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa’s aspirations to further strengthen bilateral ties to advance the interests of both nations. 

The Crown Prince outlined ways in which bilateral relations could be developed across a range of sectors, with a specific focus on economic, trade and culture.

In response, the Duke of Westminster expressed his gratitude for the opportunity to meet the Crown Prince, and highlighted Bahrain’s growth and development over the last decade across a range of sectors. 

The Duke thanked Prince Salman for his continued support to the bilateral relationship, and stressed the importance of finding ways to further strengthen
Bahrain-UK ties.
