Qatar’s Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim Al Thani received Egyptian Foreign Minister Dr. Badr Abdelatty in Doha on Friday during his official visit to the country.
The meeting focused on bilateral relations between Qatar and Egypt and ways to further strengthen cooperation across various fields.
The two sides also reviewed the latest regional developments, with particular attention to ongoing diplomatic efforts aimed at reducing tensions and enhancing security and stability in the region.
Sheikh Mohammed stressed the importance of all parties remaining committed to dialogue and diplomacy, while implementing agreements reached under the memorandum of understanding between the United States and the Islamic Republic of Iran.
He highlighted the importance of ensuring freedom of navigation in the Strait of Hormuz, safeguarding regional security, preserving achievements made through diplomatic efforts, and promoting long-term stability.
The Qatari Prime Minister reaffirmed Qatar’s full support for initiatives aimed at easing tensions and reaching a comprehensive agreement that would contribute to lasting peace in the region.
