UAE Calls for AI-Driven Solutions to Speed Up Clean Energy Transition

The United Arab Emirates stressed the importance of digital technologies, including artificial intelligence (AI), and innovation in accelerating the global shift towards clean energy during a high-level United Nations discussion.
Speaking at the High-Level Political Forum (HLPF) interactive roundtable titled “Powering the Future: Is the World Ready for the Next Energy Era?”, the UAE highlighted the need for advanced technologies and collaboration to support the achievement of Sustainable Development Goal 7 (SDG 7), which focuses on affordable, reliable, sustainable and modern energy for all.
Focus on Partnerships and Sustainable Infrastructure
The UAE outlined its integrated approach to energy and infrastructure development, emphasizing the role of international partnerships, investment and supportive policies in expanding clean energy solutions.
The country also highlighted the importance of supporting Small Island Developing States (SIDS) in their clean energy transition efforts, helping them adopt sustainable technologies and strengthen energy resilience.
The UAE invited global partners to continue discussions on clean energy innovation and cooperation at upcoming platforms, including Abu Dhabi Sustainability Week and the IRENA Assembly.
