Italian PM Meloni Offers Condolences to Qatar’s Amir
Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni met with Qatar’s Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani at Lusail Palace on Tuesday to offer her condolences following the passing of Father Amir Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa Al Thani.
Meloni conveyed her sympathies to the Qatari leadership and people as Qatar continues to receive condolences from world leaders, senior officials and dignitaries following the death of the Father Amir on Sunday.
The Italian Prime Minister is among a growing list of international figures who have travelled to Doha to pay tribute to Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa Al Thani, whose leadership played a key role in shaping modern Qatar.
The visits reflect the widespread respect for the late Father Amir and his contributions to Qatar’s development and global engagement during his reign.
