Bahrain, Kuwait Pledge Closer Security Coordination

 
Talks focus on enhancing bilateral security cooperation and addressing regional developments

Interior Minister, General Shaikh Rashid bin Abdullah Al Khalifa, held talks on Tuesday with Kuwait's First Deputy Prime Minister and Interior Minister, Shaikh Fahad Yousef Saud Al Sabah, during the latter's official visit to the Kingdom. The visit aimed at strengthening security cooperation and coordination between the two countries.

Welcoming the Kuwaiti minister, Shaikh Rashid highlighted the longstanding fraternal ties and historic relationship between Bahrain and Kuwait, founded on shared interests and common visions. He reaffirmed Bahrain's pride in its close relations with Kuwait and expressed the Kingdom's full support for all measures Kuwait takes to preserve its security and stability.

Shaikh Fahad, in turn, reiterated Kuwait's support for Bahrain's security measures, emphasizing his country's solidarity with the Kingdom against any threat to its security and stability. He stressed that Kuwait's position reflects the deep historical bonds between the two nations and their peoples.

The meeting also reviewed ways to further enhance bilateral security cooperation and coordination, while discussing the latest regional and international developments. Both sides underscored the importance of strengthening joint Gulf security efforts to promote regional peace, security, and stability.
