Emirates to Launch A380 Services to Delhi from October
Emirates will introduce its flagship Airbus A380 aircraft on flights to Delhi from October 25, making the Indian capital the airline’s third destination in India to receive the iconic double-decker aircraft.
The A380 will operate daily on the Dubai-Delhi route under flight numbers EK512/513, featuring a four-class configuration. The service will complement Emirates’ existing Boeing 777 operations, which also offer the airline’s popular Premium Economy cabin.
Premium Economy Expands Across Six Indian Cities
Emirates will expand its Premium Economy offering to six Indian destinations — Delhi, Mumbai, Ahmedabad, Bengaluru, Kolkata and Kochi — by the end of October.
The upgraded cabin experience includes spacious cream leather seats, increased legroom, enhanced recline, fine dining served on chinaware, and premium amenities designed to provide greater comfort for travellers.
Adnan Kazim, Emirates’ Deputy President and Chief Commercial Officer, said the introduction of the A380 to Delhi reflects the airline’s continued commitment to strengthening its partnership with India.
“Given the strong demand for travel to and from India, it is an honour to expand our A380 footprint in the country, with Delhi joining Mumbai and Bengaluru as our third A380 destination,” Kazim said.
Kolkata to Receive Next-Generation A350 Service
From October 25, Emirates will also deploy its Airbus A350 aircraft on the daily Kolkata-Dubai route, bringing its latest onboard products, including Premium Economy, to passengers travelling from the city.
The airline’s additional Kolkata-Dubai services, operated five times weekly with a retrofitted Boeing 777, will also feature Premium Economy, making the cabin available across all 12 weekly flights between the two cities.
More Premium Travel Options from India
With the latest expansion, Emirates passengers will have access to Premium Economy seats on:
- Four daily services from Delhi
- 22 weekly flights from Mumbai
- 12 weekly flights from Kolkata
- Nine weekly flights from Ahmedabad
- Seven weekly flights from Bengaluru
- Two weekly flights from Kochi
The airline said the expansion forms part of its wider efforts to enhance customer experience through upgraded aircraft, improved services and greater travel flexibility.
Emirates Expands Customer Services in India
Emirates has also strengthened its presence on the ground by opening retail travel stores in Delhi and Mumbai, with plans to launch additional locations in Hyderabad and Bengaluru.
The airline is also preparing to open a dedicated call centre in Mumbai to provide personalised assistance to customers.
Onboard, Emirates continues to offer regionally inspired Indian cuisine, multilingual cabin crew support, and an extensive inflight entertainment library featuring more than 6,500 channels, including Bollywood films and regional language content.
Emirates currently serves nine Indian cities — Ahmedabad, Bengaluru, Chennai, Delhi, Hyderabad, Kochi, Kolkata, Mumbai and Thiruvananthapuram — with 167 weekly flights connecting passengers to Dubai and onward to nearly 140 destinations worldwide.
