Russia 'has never threatened' European countries: Putin

Astana, Kazakhstan: Russian President Vladimir Putin declared on Friday that Russia has never threatened and does not threaten European countries. Speaking during a press conference on an official visit to Kazakhstan, Putin flatly rejected Western accusations of aggression.
The Russian leader's comments closely follow formal accusations from Romania, which recently blamed its neighbor for a drone strike that hit a residential apartment block.
Putin dismissed the rising geopolitical friction, countering that European leadership is intentionally fabricating a prolonged confrontation with Moscow. According to Putin, European nations are using these heightened tensions solely to justify exorbitant spending in their state budgets.
