UAE and Germany Discuss Stronger Cooperation as Abdullah bin Zayed Meets German Leadership in Berlin

Abu Dhabi: The United Arab Emirates and Germany have reaffirmed their commitment to strengthening bilateral ties, as senior UAE diplomat Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan held meetings in Berlin with German leadership to discuss cooperation in key political and economic areas.

During the visit, discussions focused on expanding strategic relations between the two countries, particularly in trade, investment, energy, technology, and regional security cooperation. Both sides reviewed ongoing partnerships and explored new opportunities to deepen collaboration in areas of shared interest.

The talks also highlighted broader regional developments in the Middle East, including security challenges, energy stability, and efforts to maintain international trade flows. Germany expressed continued support for stability in the region and emphasized the importance of close coordination with Gulf partners like the UAE.

Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed, who serves as the UAE’s foreign minister and deputy prime minister, underscored the strength of UAE–Germany relations and the importance of continuing dialogue on global and regional issues. He also reiterated the UAE’s focus on building partnerships that support economic growth and stability.

Germany and the UAE already maintain a strong relationship, with cooperation spanning decades in sectors such as renewable energy, industrial development, defence, and advanced technology. The UAE is also a key trade and investment partner for Germany in the Gulf region.

The meeting comes at a time when both countries are looking to expand their global economic and diplomatic influence amid shifting geopolitical conditions, especially in energy markets and international security dynamics.
