Sharjah launches Dh1,000 instant industrial licence for entrepreneurs, investors

Sharjah City: In a major move to bolster its manufacturing sector, the Sharjah Economic Development Department (SEDD) has announced a new ‘Instant Industrial License’ for just Dh1,000.
‘This initiative is specifically designed to empower investors and small-to-medium enterprises (SMEs) by slashing entry costs and eliminating bureaucratic delays. The license allows entrepreneurs to start their industrial operations immediately, bypassing lengthy approval processes that typically hinder new projects.
Sharjah’s latest incentive aims to transform the emirate into a global industrial hub by attracting diverse investments in sectors like technology, food production, and sustainable manufacturing.
By offering an affordable and rapid licensing pathway, SEDD is fostering a more competitive business environment and driving economic diversification.
This strategic relief package is expected to significantly increase the number of industrial units in Sharjah, contributing to the UAE's broader goal of doubling the industrial sector's contribution to the national GDP.
