Seoul: Kim Jong Un oversaw new missile tests carried out by North Korea, state media reported.

The tests took place on Sunday and included strategic cruise missiles and anti-ship missiles launched from a naval destroyer.

According to state news agency KCNA, two cruise missiles flew for over two hours, while anti-ship missiles flew for about 33 minutes before hitting their targets with high accuracy.

The missiles were launched over the West Sea of Korea (also known as the Yellow Sea) and were fired from a warship called Choe Hyon, one of the country’s newest destroyers.

These tests are part of North Korea’s ongoing efforts to strengthen its military and naval power, with several missile launches reported in recent months.
