Veteran Indian playback singer Asha Bhosle has passed away at the age of 92, bringing an end to a remarkable era in Indian music.
According to reports, she had been admitted to Breach Candy Hospital after suffering from cardiac and respiratory complications. The legendary singer had been unwell for some time, with her condition deteriorating in recent days.
She was later shifted to the intensive care unit (ICU) as her health worsened. Her son, Anand Bhosle, confirmed her passing.
Family sources stated that her last rites are scheduled to take place tomorrow at 4 pm.
Asha Bhosle, known for her versatile voice and decades-long contribution to Indian cinema and music, leaves behind a legacy that shaped generations of artists and listeners worldwide.
