Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman welcomed British Prime Minister Keir Starmer to the Kingdom, and the two leaders met in the city of Jeddah.

The discussions occur amid ongoing regional tensions, with Starmer having previously condemned attacks on Saudi Arabia attributed to Iran in recent months.

According to London, the British Prime Minister was expected to focus on diplomatic efforts aimed at supporting and upholding the US-Iran ceasefire. The broader goal is achieving a lasting resolution to the conflict and safeguarding both the UK and global economy from further instability.

Starmer previously visited Saudi Arabia in December 2024, traveling to the capital, Riyadh, where he pledged to strengthen bilateral relations and deepen the UK’s engagement in the Middle East.

The latest meeting underscores both countries’ continued efforts to expand cooperation on regional security and economic ties.
