Trump Warns Iran to Abandon Nuclear Ambitions
US President Donald Trump has issued a strong warning to Iran, urging its leadership to permanently abandon its nuclear ambitions or face continued military consequences.
Speaking during a Cabinet meeting at the White House, Trump said Iran now has an opportunity to change course and pursue a different path forward. However, he cautioned that failure to do so would result in severe repercussions.
“They now have the chance… to permanently abandon their nuclear ambitions, and to chart a new path forward,” Trump stated. He added that if Iran refuses, the United States would respond forcefully, describing the US as “their worst nightmare.”
The remarks come amid heightened tensions between Washington and Tehran, with ongoing concerns over Iran’s nuclear program and regional security. Trump also indicated that US military actions would continue in the interim, asserting that Iran would be unable to counter such operations.
