Iran’s Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi has accused US President Donald Trump of ordering strikes against Iran “out of spite,” saying the move undermined diplomacy and ongoing talks.
In a post on X on Wednesday, Araghchi said complex nuclear negotiations were being treated “like a real estate transaction” and criticised what he described as unrealistic expectations shaped by misinformation.
“The outcome? Bombing the negotiation table out of spite,” he wrote, adding that Trump had “betrayed diplomacy and the Americans who elected him,” according to the statement issued from Iran.
