Hezbollah Says It Won’t Join “Limited” US Strikes on Iran

A senior Hezbollah official said on Wednesday that the group would not take part militarily if the United States carries out “limited” strikes on Iran.

Speaking to AFP on condition of anonymity, the official said Hezbollah would stay out of the conflict if the strikes remain contained and do not escalate into a broader war.

However, the official stressed that any direct attack on Iran’s Supreme Leader, Ali Khamenei, would be considered a “red line.”

Lebanese authorities have expressed concern that Hezbollah could be drawn into a wider regional conflict if tensions between Washington and Tehran intensify. Fears have grown that any US military action against Iran might trigger a broader war across the region.

The official’s remarks suggest that Hezbollah is seeking to avoid direct military involvement unless the situation significantly escalates or targets Iran’s top leadership.
