King Abdullah II Condemns Israel’s West Bank Land Registration Measures

Abdullah II of Jordan on Monday strongly criticised Israel’s approval of new measures allowing the registration of land in the occupied West Bank as “state property,” warning that the move could further destabilise the region.

During a meeting with British officials in London, King Abdullah described the measures as illegal actions aimed at consolidating settlements and imposing sovereignty over Palestinian land.

He stressed that such steps undermine ongoing efforts to restore calm and risk exacerbating tensions and deepening the conflict.

According to a statement released by the Royal Court, the King reaffirmed Jordan’s firm position in support of Palestinian rights and reiterated the need for a comprehensive and just solution based on international legitimacy.
