Israel Prepares Unilateral Response if Iran Crosses “Red Line”
Israeli defense officials have told the United States that Iran’s ballistic missile program represents an existential threat and signaled that Israel is ready to act alone if needed, according to a report by the Jerusalem Post.
According to security sources, Israel has communicated its intentions to dismantle Iran’s missile capabilities through high-level discussions with U.S. counterparts in recent weeks. Military officials reportedly outlined operational plans targeting Iran’s key missile manufacturing sites.
A source familiar with the discussions said, “We told the Americans we will strike alone if Iran crosses the red line we set on ballistic missiles.” The official added that Israel has not yet reached that threshold but is closely monitoring developments inside Iran.
The warning comes amid ongoing regional tensions and follows Israel’s October 2024 strike on Iranian military infrastructure, which involved the Israeli Air Force targeting strategic facilities.
