India’s PM Modi in Jordan to Script New Chapter in Bilateral Relations
Amman: Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi arrived in Jordan on Monday, marking a significant visit to strengthen bilateral ties between the two nations. The visit, which coincides with 75 years of diplomatic relations, aims to explore new avenues of cooperation in economic, investment and technological fields.
During his two-day visit, PM Modi held talks with Jordan's King Abdullah II and Prime Minister Jafar Hassan, discussing ways to enhance economic cooperation and regional stability. The meeting also focused on untapped export opportunities for Jordan, including olive oil, dates and pharmaceuticals, in the Indian market.
The visit focuses on strengthening economic cooperation, exploring new areas of collaboration, and attracting Jordanian investments in India's growing economy. Both nations will share expertise in digital transformation and renewable energy, while promoting people-to-people ties and cultural heritage cooperation, marking a significant step in India-Jordan relations.
Modi visit is expected to boost bilateral trade, currently valued at $2.8 billion, and reinforce India's commitment to regional peace and stability.
