Rubio: Gaza Security Force Must Include Countries Israel Trusts
U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio said on Friday that any international security force established in Gaza under a ceasefire agreement should be made up of countries that Israel is “comfortable with.”
Speaking during a visit to Israel, Rubio said discussions are still underway about how Gaza will be governed after the conflict. He emphasized that Hamas cannot be part of any future government.
Rubio added that the possible involvement of the Palestinian Authority has not yet been decided and will need to be discussed with Israel and other partner nations.
