13-Year-Old Boy Found in Plane’s Landing Gear After Kabul–Delhi Flight

A 13-year-old boy from Afghanistan stunned authorities after being discovered in the landing gear compartment of a Kabul–Delhi flight, according to reports by PTI.

The boy, believed to be from Kunduz city, managed to board Kam Air flight RQ-4401 undetected at Kabul Airport. The aircraft landed at Delhi’s Indira Gandhi International Airport around 11 a.m. on Sunday, after a two-hour journey at an altitude of over 36,000 feet.

Airport staff spotted the teenager wandering near the aircraft soon after landing. He was detained by airline personnel and handed over to the Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) for questioning.

During interrogation, the boy reportedly admitted he had sneaked into the airport and hidden inside the rear central landing gear compartment “out of curiosity.” Officials said he survived the cramped and dangerous conditions throughout the flight.

Following the incident, the boy was deported to Kabul on the same aircraft later that day. Kam Air security teams conducted a detailed inspection of the landing gear compartment, where they found a small red-colored speaker believed to belong to the boy. The aircraft was cleared after thorough anti-sabotage checks, officials confirmed.
