Lisbon Funicular Accident Leaves 3 Dead, 20 Injured

Lisbon’s famous Gloria Funicular, also known as the Elevador da Glória, was involved in a tragic accident after it derailed.
According to initial reports, at least three people lost their lives and 20 others were injured in the incident. Close-up footage from the scene showed the historic funicular off its tracks, with emergency services rushing to help victims.
The Gloria Funicular is one of Lisbon’s most iconic attractions, connecting downtown with the Bairro Alto district. Authorities are investigating the cause of the derailment while rescue operations continue.
