Trump Urges Hamas to Release All Hostages, Promises Swift End to War

US President Donald Trump has called on the Hamas terror group to immediately release all 20 hostages, saying it could bring a rapid end to the conflict.
“Tell Hamas to IMMEDIATELY give back all 20 Hostages (Not 2 or 5 or 7!), and things will change rapidly. IT WILL END!” Trump wrote on his social media platform, Truth Social.
Terrorist groups in the Gaza Strip currently hold 48 hostages, including 47 of the 251 people abducted by Hamas-led forces on October 7, 2023. Among them are at least 26 confirmed dead, according to the Israeli Defense Forces (IDF). Authorities say 20 hostages are believed to be alive, while the well-being of two others remains a serious concern.
In addition, Hamas is holding the body of an Israeli soldier who was killed in Gaza in 2014.
