Kremlin Reacts to Trump’s Claim of a Global Plot Against the US

The Kremlin on Wednesday expressed hope that US President Donald Trump’s recent claim about a conspiracy between Russia, China, and North Korea was meant as a joke.
Kremlin aide Yuri Ushakov commented on Russian state television, saying, “I think, not without irony, he said that these three are allegedly plotting against the United States.”
The remarks came in response to a social media post by Trump in which he suggested that Russian President Vladimir Putin, Chinese President Xi Jinping, and North Korean leader Kim Jong Un had met in Beijing to plan actions against Washington.
