Curtain Goes Up for SDGs Bhavans Bahrain – Season 3

We need to create a world that is equitable and stable, where we consider the needs of others, not just our own immediate needs.” Inspired by this vision, Bhavans Bahrain Indian School (BIS) proudly inaugurated the Curtain Raiser of SDG Bhavans Bahrain – Season 3 on October 4, 2025.

The event was graced by Mr. Himanshu Verma, Director, as the Chief Guest, along with Ms. Ritu Verma, Director, Bhavans Middle East Management, Principal Mr. Saji Jacob, staff, and students. The atmosphere brimmed with enthusiasm, purpose, and a collective commitment to making a difference.

During his address, Mr. Himanshu Verma emphasized that “At Bhavans Bahrain Indian School, we believe that education extends beyond academics — it is about shaping compassionate, responsible, and action-oriented global citizens. Through the SDG Bhavans initiative, our students learn to think critically about the world’s challenges and contribute meaningfully to solutions. Season 3 is another step in this ongoing journey of awareness, sustainability, and shared responsibility toward our planet.”

During his address, Principal Mr. Saji Jacob reaffirmed BIS’s steadfast commitment to nurturing socially responsible and globally aware citizens, aligning with the United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

Out of 17 goals, BIS has already covered 4 goals during Season 1 & 2. This year, in Season 3, students across Bhavans Middle East Schools will champion Goal 6: ‘Clean-Water & Sanitation’ and Goal 11: ‘Sustainable Cities and Communities’. With youthful zeal, inspiring words, and a soulful BIS song, the season was declared open, marking a new chapter of purposeful action.
