Bahrain international bowling star Yousef Falah and Abdulrahman Al Humaidan from Saudi Arabia were the star performers on day 21 of qualifying in the Funland Ramadan Bowling Tournament 2022, currently being held at Funland Centre’s lanes.

Falah scored the high series of 730 pins amongst the Group A participants while Al Humaidan had the top trial of Group B with a 680 score. Competitors in the tournament are being divided into two groups, with Group A for advanced bowlers and Group B for beginners and ladies.

Contestants from both groups in this first phase attempt trials as much as they need, with the total pinfalls including handicap for their best three trials being considered. Each trial is composed of three games. Qualifying action continues today as play in this stage of the championship is now in its final week. Falah’s 730 score was his top mark of the competition to date and it added to his other leading trials of 725 and 692.

He raised his total to 2,147 pins for a 238.6 average, which helped him climb to fourth place on the Group A standings. Falah is now only behind the top three of Emerson Gotencio from the Philippines, Abdulla Abdulkarim and Abdulrahman Al Kheliwi from Saudi Arabia.

Gotencio remained in first place with his 2,283 total and 253.7 average, followed closely by Abdulkarim, who stayed just 18 pins behind with a 2,265 total and 251.7 average.
