The Bahrain Royal Equestrian Federation (BREEF) has begun its enormous preparations to hold an international qualifying race (2) as well as local qualifying races for amateurs on November 5 and 6, 2021 at Bahrain International Endurance Village.

On this occasion, HH Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Representative of HM the King for Humanitarian Work and Youth Affairs and Honourary President of BREEF has commended the positive start of the season following the wide-participation featured in the first races as well as the strong competition among the participants.

His Highness said that such signs confirm that a strong season awaits us, stating that the level of competition will increase in the coming races thanks to the broad participation.

"BREEF, under the leadership of HH Shaikh Isa bin Abdullah Al Khalifa, has succeeded in making the first races a tremendous success, giving the participating jockeys the opportunity to showcase their abilities and capabilities," HH Shaikh Nasser said.

"The next contests are expected to show further excitements as the stables are developing a much-needed understanding of the performances of their horses and the readiness of their jockeys. We hope the participating jockeys will be able to confirm the development of the endurance sport in Bahrain through being involved in strong competition and completing the races in the best possible way," His Highness added.

Moreover, HH Shaikh Nasser expressed happiness at seeing new faces entering the endurance sport, pointing out that this is clear proof of Bahrain's ability to produce new jockeys who will carry the responsibility to win abroad while representing the Kingdom. Furthermore, His Highness revealed that BREEF has put together a plan to encourage new young jockeys to join this sport, adding that the Federation is reaping its fruits.

Confidence in Organisation

HH Shaikh Nasser expressed confidence in all the organising committee members to be up to the task and make the new endurance season a huge success, wishing all the jockeys and stables the best of luck.
