Bahraini Royalty and Dignitaries Gather for Alba Cup Spectacular at REHC

In the presence of His Highness Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Representative of His Majesty the King for Humanitarian Work and Youth Affairs, and Chairman of the Supreme Council for Youth and Sports, His Highness Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa, First Deputy Chairman of the Supreme Council for Youth and Sports (SCYS), Chairman of the General Sports Authority, and President of the Bahrain Olympic Committee, His Highness Shaikh Isa bin Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Minister of the Prime Minister’s Court, and Chairman of the Rashid Equestrian and Horseracing Club’s (REHC) High Committee, and His Highness Shaikh Faisal bin Rashid bin Isa Al Khalifa, Vice President of the Supreme Council for Environment, Deputy Chairman of the REHC High Committee, and Member of the SCYS, the REHC held today the 11th race of 2025-2026 season at its racecourse in Al Raffah, Sakhir over the Cups of Aluminium Bahrain (Alba).
The eight-round race was attended by a number of Their Highnesses and Excellencies, prominent figures, and representatives of Alba, the official sponsor of the race. The event witnessed a large public turnout in an evening marked by excitement and enthusiasm, concluding the racing activities of 2025 in a highly competitive atmosphere, alongside a variety of accompanying entertainment activities that continue to distinguish the REHC’s racing evenings.
The winners of the cups were announced, with HE Mr. Khalid Amr Al Rumaihi, Chairman of Alba, presenting the first-round trophy to the winning jockey Ebrahim Nader, the second-round trophy to the winning owner Khalid Al Hermes, the third-round trophy to HH Shaikh Nader bin Mohammed bin Salman Al Khalifa, the fourth-round trophy to Mahdi Salah Mahdi, and the fifth-round trophy to the winning owner Ebrahim Al Afoo.
Meanwhile, Mr. Ali Al Baqali, CEO of Alba, presented the sixth-round trophy to the winning owner Sayed Jawad Sayed Marzooq, the seventh-round trophy to the winning jockey Hasan Mefrih Al Ajmi, and the eighth-round trophy to the winning owner Zaid Al Jasmi.
The race featured eight highly competitive and thrilling rounds among the participating horses and jockeys, with several stables sharing the victories over the Alba Cups, reflecting the strong level of competition and performance.
