Bahrain Club Crowned Women’s Champions at West Asian Table Tennis

His Highness Shaikh Isa bin Ali Al Khalifa, Vice President of the Bahrain Olympic Committee, attended the closing ceremony of the West Asian Clubs Table Tennis Championship held on Friday, December 5, 2025, at the Isa bin Rashid Table Tennis Hall. The event was held under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa, First Deputy Chairman of the Supreme Council for Youth and Sports, Chairman of the General Sports Authority, and President of the Bahrain Olympic Committee.

During the ceremony, Sheikh Isa bin Ali crowned Bahrain Club as the women’s champions after their well-deserved 3–1 victory over Kuwait’s Al-Fatat Club in the final match. The Saudi Union Club claimed the men’s title after defeating Qatar Sports Club 3–1.

Sheikh Isa praised the Bahrain women’s team for their strong performance, noting that they earned the title with skill and determination. He also expressed his satisfaction with the high level of competition displayed by all participating teams, stressing that the championship served as an important platform for West Asian clubs to strengthen their regional presence.

“We are pleased to witness this remarkable progress in table tennis across West Asia,” he said. “It reflects the tremendous efforts made by clubs and federations to support their athletes and elevate the sport. The participating teams demonstrated excellent sportsmanship, and we congratulate the champions on their well-deserved achievement while wishing the remaining teams success in future competitions.”

He added that hosting such championships helps strengthen sporting ties between athletes in the region and supports the development of individual sports. Sheikh Isa affirmed the Bahrain Olympic Committee’s commitment to supporting initiatives that advance table tennis locally and regionally, praising the efforts of Bahrain Club, the host, and the Bahrain Table Tennis Association.
