Bahrain is set to host the thrilling final leg of the FIBA 3x3 World Tour on November 21-22, marking a third consecutive year of partnership between the Bahrain Tourism and Exhibitions Authority (BTEA) and the International Basketball Federation (FIBA).

H.E. Fatima bint Jafar Al-Sirafi, Minister of Tourism and Chairperson of BTEA, highlighted that the event reflects growing international confidence in Bahrain’s ability to organize and host world-class sporting events. “This global event is a cornerstone of our efforts to promote sports tourism,” she noted, emphasizing the widespread media attention and public engagement it brings, while showcasing Bahrain’s cultural and tourism offerings to the world.

Minister Al-Sirafi also praised the unwavering support of H.H. Sheikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa, First Deputy Chairman of the Supreme Council for Youth and Sports, Chairman of the General Organization for Youth and Sports, and President of the Bahrain Olympic Committee. “His leadership has paved the way for Bahrain to host top-tier international sporting events, reinforcing our reputation as a preferred destination for sports enthusiasts worldwide,” she said.

She added that BTEA remains committed to supporting and hosting global events that elevate Bahrain’s position on the sports tourism map and open new horizons for the country’s tourism and economic sectors. “The Manama final has become a marquee event in the FIBA calendar, now synonymous with Bahrain,” Minister Al-Sirafi concluded.
