Bahrain Name 3x3 Basketball Squad for Islamic Solidarity Games

The Bahrain Basketball Association has confirmed the national men’s 3x3 squad for the sixth Islamic Solidarity Games, which officially kick off with the opening ceremony today in Riyadh and continue until November 21.

The team includes Mohamed Buallay, Sayed Mohamed Hameed, Milos Supica, and player-coach Bogdan Dragovic. This quartet will represent Bahrain in Group A as the fast-paced tournament tips off at the Promenade Art Tower in the Saudi capital.

Bahrain begins their campaign on November 17 against Egypt at 6:15 PM, before facing hosts Saudi Arabia later that evening at 9:35 PM. Egypt’s lineup features Ahmed Yasser Mohammed, Mohab Abdellatif, Mohamed Elgohary, and Youssef Helmy, while Saudi Arabia will field Saad Alsubaei, Abdulmalik Ashoor, Raad Barnawi, and Mohamed Alkhater.

The following day, Bahrain meets Algeria, whose quartet includes several players from the national team that won the Arab Championship held in Bahrain in August. Algeria’s squad features Messaoudi Faredj, Yahiaoui Zayd, Yahiatene Mohand, and Karabi Mahrz.

The men’s semifinals are scheduled for November 19 at 5:50 PM and 6:15 PM, followed by the bronze medal game at 7:05 PM and the gold medal final at 8:20 PM. All matches will take place at the Promenade Art Tower in Riyadh.
