The official pre-season testing for the 2025 Aramco F4 Saudi Arabian Championship concluded yesterday at the Bahrain International Circuit (BIC), marking the final stage of preparations ahead of the highly anticipated season opener.
The championship, part of the FIA-sanctioned single-seater entry-level series, is promoted by ALTAWKILAT Motorsport under the supervision of the Saudi Automobile and Motorcycle Federation (SAMF). It represents a key platform for developing emerging motorsport talent across Saudi Arabia and the region.
The first and second official tests were marked by an atmosphere of excitement and high concentration, with close technical monitoring from the participating teams. Driver Jacob Micallef from Team Zahid managed to record the fastest time of 2 minutes 8.238 seconds, with the highest average speed of 151.9 km/h, leading by just 0.004 seconds ahead of second-place driver Scott Kim Lindblom from Team Red Bull, while Thibaut Ramaekers from Team Zahid finished in third place.
In the second test, driver Theo Palmer from Team JACO achieved the fastest time of 2 minutes 7.613 seconds, with an average speed of 152.6 km/h, ahead by 0.002 seconds over second-place driver Kit Belofsky from Team PEAX, while Adam Alzahrani from Team Valvoline finished third.
Testing represents a key milestone in the pre-season preparation program, enabling teams to evaluate the performance of their Tatuus F4-T421 (Gen 2) cars, refine their setups, and achieve optimal readiness before competitive racing commences. For drivers, it is an invaluable opportunity to gain confidence and adaptability on the Bahrain International circuit, renowned for its mix of fast straights, tight corners, and technical demands, which sharpen their racecraft and mental resilience under real race conditions.
With testing complete, the 2025 Aramco F4 Saudi Arabian Championship now moves into race mode.
The season will kick off today at the Bahrain International Circuit, followed by Round 2 at the same venue on October 15–16. The action then shifts to Saudi Arabia’s Jeddah Corniche Circuit—the world’s fastest street circuit—for Rounds 3 and 4 on November 10–11 and November 14–15, respectively, before concluding with the final round on December 5–6, also in Jeddah.
