Bahraini champions open campaign in Dubai tonight
Manama Club, representing Bahrain basketball, open their campaign in the 37th Arab Clubs Basketball Championship tonight in Dubai. Their first test comes against Lebanon’s Antonine, with tip-off scheduled for 7pm at Al Nasr’s Rashid bin Hamdan Hall.
Preparation, Squad and Ambitions
The team arrived in Dubai following two friendlies against Saudi Arabia’s Al Ahli in Bahrain and Al Fateh in Saudi Arabia. Head coach Salman Ramadan leads a roster combining established local names with overseas signings. The line-up includes Ahmed Salman, Hassan Nowrooz, and Sabah Hussain, alongside American professionals Carl Jones and Daniel.
Upcoming Fixtures
After tonight’s opener, Manama continue the group stage against Libya’s Ahli Tripoli on Saturday. They then close out the preliminary round on Monday against Kuwait Club.
