NMS students excel in CBSE cluster chess championship

New Millennium School’s grandmasters clinched multiple titles at the CBSE Cluster (Bahrain Chapter) Inter School Chess Competition, showcasing their dominance across various categories.

The school emerged as champions in the Under-14, Under-17, and Under-19 boys’ divisions, alongside securing the top spot in the Under-17 girls’ category.

They also earned the runner-up position in the Under-11 boys’ competition.

In the Under-14 boys’ winning squad were Aradhy Roy, Jishnu Balajee, Ved Gopinath, and A. Hudson.

The Under-17 boys’ title was claimed by Rishi Kankhara, Rudra Kankhara, Prithvi Raj, and Khush Dolaria. For the Under-19 boys, Avran Thomas, Rohan Singhvi, Uttam Baratam, and Veiom Gupta secured the victory.

The Under-11 boys’ runner-up team comprised Rihaan Bibin, Satvik Sharma, Shreepriyan Sundarajan, and Sanidhya Kumar.

The girls’ Under-17 championship was taken by Tanya Singh, Ayra Mehta, Ashmithaa Manikandan, and Sanatanya Inbasekaran, further highlighting New Millennium School’s prowess on the chessboard.

The impressive results underscore the students’ dedication and skill in the sport.
