A colourful Sports Day
The 11th Annual Kindergarten Sports Day was held yesterday at Al Noor International School where about 500 kindergarten students from Nursery and Reception classes competed for gold, silver and bronze medals in a number of colourful sports events.
The meet was attended by the school Director, Dr. Muhammad Mashood, Vice Principal Ameen Mohammed Ahmed Hulaiwah, other school officials and staff.
The kindergarten students enthusiastically cheered their teammates with their band performance, viewed by more than 800 spectators. The programme commenced with National Anthem followed by a verse from Holy Quran read by Yusuf Hesham of Reception -18. The welcome speech was given by Ibrahim Yaseen of Reception – 18 and Jumanah Mohammed of Reception 17. The oath was taken by Abdulla Ahmed of Reception– 14 and Tala Basil of Reception – 21.
Medals were given away to the winners by the school officials. All the participants received gifts for taking part in the events and the event culminated with the lowering of the school flag.
