Ithmaar Bank Continues to Organise its “Ithmaar Guide” Internship Programme for School Students

Ithmaar Bank B.S.C. (closed), a Bahrain-based Islamic retail bank, continued its commitment to supporting school students and developing their skills through organising “Ithmaar Guide” internship programme. The programme mainly aims to introduce participants to the workplace environment as well as the various departments and  functions within the banking sector, helping them to be prepared for their next phase of education  and make informed decisions when selecting their academic specialisations. 

A total of nine students participated in the programme, where they had the opportunity to gain knowledge about the Bank’s various departments and take part in selected tasks. This reflects Ithmaar Bank’s commitment to providing opportunities that help to introduce school students to the workplace, develop their skills and provide them with experience that enables them to explore their academic and career paths that best suit their interests, while also benefiting from the knowledge and experience of the Bank’s employees. 

“At Ithmaar Bank, we believe in the important role we must play in investing in future generations,” said a Manager in Ithmaar Bank’s Human Resources Department, Murad Mohamed Ali. “Through the Ithmaar Guide programme, we aim to provide school students with experience that helps them discover their interests and gain early exposure to a workplace. Such programmes represent an important opportunity for students to build their confidence, prepare them for the next phase of university education, and choose an academic field that suits them based on practical experience,” he said.
