Chery Bahrain Hosts 2nd International Skills Contest, Reinforcing Service Excellence

Chery Bahrain hosted the 2nd Chery International Skills Contest, bringing together skilled professionals from across Chery’s network in the Middle East. A total of 9 countries participated in this international showcase of expertise, professionalism and service excellence.

Hosting the international competition in Bahrain for the second time reflected the strength of Chery’s local operations and the Kingdom’s growing role within the brand’s wider network. It also provided an opportunity to bring international expertise and best practices into the local market, enabling Chery Bahrain’s teams to benchmark their capabilities against wider Chery standards.

Building on the success of the inaugural edition, this year’s competition expanded to include both Technician and Service Advisor categories, placing greater emphasis on the complete aftersales journey, from technical expertise to customer service and communication. The competition also encouraged continuous learning and knowledge sharing among professionals across Chery’s service network.

Participants were evaluated through practical and knowledge-based challenges covering key areas of technical and service delivery. Technicians demonstrated their capabilities in areas such as diagnosis, inspection and repair quality, while service advisors were assessed across key stages of the customer journey, including understanding customer needs, service delivery and communication.

Following the competition, Hamzeh Afsan from Jordan was crowned champion in the Technician category, followed by Ali Hantoosh from Bahrain as first runner-up and Mohamed Hassan from Egypt as second runner-up. In the Service Advisor category, Jameel Ali from Bahrain secured first place, followed by Mahesh Krishnan from Qatar and Amanda Alshair from Kuwait as first and second runners-up, respectively.

The competition formed part of Chery Bahrain’s continued investment in its people and aftersales capabilities. By creating opportunities for its teams to learn, exchange expertise and measure themselves against international standards, Chery Bahrain continues to strengthen service quality and equip its people to deliver a consistently high-quality customer experience, ultimately building greater confidence in the brand.
