The Tender Board opened bids for three public tenders and one auction. Projects ranged from a major supermarket lease in Madinat Salman to infrastructure consultancy work, a municipal market development, and security fencing for a utility site in Ras Abu Jarjur.

The highest-value item was an Eskan Bank auction for a 3,535-square-metre retail unit in Madinat Salman, which includes a 2,805-square-metre supermarket and a 730-square-metre service area. The property attracted a single bid from Alsater Markets valued at BD1,789,911.900, which the board accepted upon opening.

Eskan Bank said development work at the site is scheduled to begin in the second quarter of 2026. The lease structure includes monthly payments via post-dated cheques or bank transfer, alongside additional service and municipal charges the tenant must cover from the contract date.

In another tender, Eskan Bank also sought consultancy services for the masterplan and infrastructure design of the Al Sayah Greens project, which received two bids, with the lowest valued at approximately BD341,000. Separately, the Ministry of Municipalities Affairs and Agriculture advanced plans for a new Friday Market project in Hoorat Aali, Block 741. The scheme aims to create an organised, shaded open-air trading space through a designand-build framework using a prefabricated steel structure. The tender attracted 10 bids, with the lowest valued at around BD93,000.

Meanwhile, the Electricity and Water Authority received 10 bids for a project to supply, deliver, and install chain-link fencing around its Ras Abu Jarjur site. The work is intended to enhance site security, prevent unauthorised access, and clearly define boundaries. The lowest bid was BD35,432.430 submitted by Raouf Contracting Est., while other bids ranged up to BD104,280.220. One bid was marked as suspended during evaluation. The Tender Board stated that all bids remain subject to technical and financial assessment, and the lowest price is not automatically selected unless all requirements are met.
