BRET announces establishment of USD 98.4 Million Commercial Refrigerator Factory

Bahrain Refrigeration Electromechanical Equipment Technology (BRET) has announced the establishment of a USD 98.4 million factory of commercial refrigeration products, within the Bahrain International Investment Park (BIIP). The announcement was made during the Gateway Gulf 2025 investment forum, underscoring Bahrain’s growing role as a hub for advanced manufacturing.
Representing a Chinese investment in Bahrain, the new facility will serve as a key regional production centre for high-performance, energy-efficient refrigeration systems tailored to the Gulf region’s climate and commercial needs.
Cao Junfeng, CEO of BRET, said: “Establishing our presence in Bahrain marks an important milestone for our Middle East and global strategy. The Kingdom offers a strategic location, modern infrastructure, and a business-friendly environment that strongly supports our long-term vision for global growth. Through BRET, we aim to bring advanced, energy-efficient refrigeration solutions to the region while contributing to Bahrain’s industrial and environmental sustainability goals.”

With a production capacity of up to 300 units per day, the facility will manufacture a wide range of commercial-grade freezers, refrigerated workbenches, display freezers and related equipment. Leveraging advanced R&D and design, BRET aims to deliver sustainable refrigeration solutions for the retail, hospitality, healthcare, and food service sectors across the Middle East.
