Preparations in full swing for ‘The Family Fair’ carnival
The Organising Committee of ‘Shop Bahrain’, the largest event in the Kingdom, announced yesterday that preparations are well underway for ‘The Family Fair’ held during the New Year’s weekend.
The two-day carnival, held at the Prince Khalifa bin Salman Park in Hidd, will provide a fun-filled calendar of events for the entire family including activities and market stalls. The event will be held today and tomorrow from 3:30pm to 1:00am.
The highlights of ‘The Family Fair’ are a live performance by Bahrain’s top singer, Hind, who is also one of the most prominent female voices in the Gulf region with a wide local and regional fan base.
In addition, ‘The Family Fair’ visitors will enjoy the “bungee jumping” activity as well as the firework display at
midnight.
Commenting on the event, Shop Bahrain Project Director, Nawaf Al Koheji said, “We are pleased to host ‘The Family Fair’ which will feature a concert by Hind who is a well-known Bahraini artist and has a huge fan base.
We are confident that she will attract a large crowd from Bahrain and the Gulf
region.”
“We have also lined up a number of events for the entire family including games and market stalls,” he
added.
‘Shop Bahrain’ is the largest nationwide festival with a unique 30-day celebration of Bahrain’s heritage, hospitality and tourism offering the entire family running until 23rd January 2016.
