Batelco, Huawei ink deal for BIAS

Batelco, the official sponsor of Bahrain International Air Show 2016 (BIAS 2016) has signed a partnership deal with Huawei, the leading global information and communications technology (ICT) solutions provider, for BIAS 2016.

The partnership deal was signed by Batelco Chairman Shaikh Hamad bin Abdulla Al Khalifa and Huawei General Manager Batelco Group Account Wang Jiangning during a meeting at Batelco Headquarters in Hamala on November 29. Chinese Ambassador Qi Zhenhong and Batelco Bahrain CEO Muna Al Hashemi also attended the meeting.

As part of the collaboration Huawei will be the Technology Strategic Partner of Batelco during BIAS 2016. Both the companies enjoyed a very successful collaboration during BIAS 2014 when they demonstrated ultra-Broadband technology throughout the airshow site. 

Al Hashemi said that the company was very pleased to have Huawei onboard as their Technology Strategic Partner for BIAS 2016. 

“Hosting an event of such major significance is very important to the economy of Bahrain as it attracts large numbers of business visitors from the region and further afield. We have been very impressed with the previous events and look forward to participating once again.”
