The Tender Board has announced the opening of the bid evaluation process, with a particular emphasis on the contract aimed at recovering unpaid dues for the Electricity and Water Authority (EWA).

The EWA has expressed its intention to secure the services of one or more legal firms to manage the recovery of outstanding bills and fees.

This initiative is a critical component of the tender and has attracted interest from several legal entities.

The appointed firm will be responsible for executing legal proceedings to ensure the enforcement of court-ordered payments and the initiation of lawsuits where necessary.

Eleven contenders submitted their bids, among which an office named The Gulf Collector for Collection Private Enforcement has put forth a notable bid of BD550,000, reflecting their interest and readiness to undertake the significant task of dues recovery.

The Tender Board is now focused on reviewing the bids related to this specific contract, aiming to provide a recommendation that aligns with the EWA’s objectives of efficient and effective recovery of unpaid dues.
