The Pakistan School is a community school run by the Board of Management elected by the vote of the parents of the students.

Speaking to DT News, community member Nafees Al Hassan said the future of thousands of students depended on the policies of the board. The parents must cast their vote only to the men of integrity and avoid electing any member with doubtful past because it was going to affect directly the destiny of their children, he said.

“Greatest responsibility lies on the shoulders of the parents so they must cast their votes to the competent and reliable candidates and not to those who promise to help them get discounts in the fees,” he urges.

This is the fourth election in the history of the Pakistan School. The Board of Management is elected for three years term and the elected board acts as the governing body of the school. The first three elections were held in 2006, 2009 and 2012 consecutively. Shaikh Ahmed Khan was the first elected chairman of the board while Arif Aziz and Ahmed Asif have also served as the chairmen. Muhammad Ilyas Khan is the current chairman.
