Bahrain keen to remain as business global hub: HRH Prince Salman

Bahrain is committed to continuously enhancing the quality and efficiency of its services to ensure it remains a business hub capable of serving global and regional economies across a wide-range of economic prospects.

This was emphasised by His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, as he visited yesterday the Ministry of Industry and Commerce.

HRH Prince Salman was briefed on the ministry’s initiatives, development plans, and the newly developed online commercial registration portal, “Sijilat 3.0”. The updated Sijilat 3.0 system has been designed to improve the quality of services provided by the Ministry of Industry and Commerce by employing the latest technologies that enable investors to seamlessly manage their businesses from any location, thus fostering a robust and attractive investment environment in the Kingdom.

The improvements in the third version of the platform incorporate new digital services that streamline the processes of accessing and completing services by 60%. Upon arrival, His Royal Highness was received by Industry and Commerce Minister Abdulla bin Adel Fakhro. Several senior officials were also in attendance.

His Royal Highness highlighted Bahrain’s continued efforts to enhance its economic competitiveness and the investment environment, in line with the Kingdom’s comprehensive development, led by His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa.

He noted the importance of continuing to enhance the quality and efficiency of government services and the electronic systems supporting them to benefit Bahraini citizens. HRH the Crown Prince and Prime Minister was briefed by Fakhro on the ministry’s initiatives and development plans, which are on par with the Government Plan, the Economic Recovery Plan, and the Bahrain Economic Vision 2030.

HRH Prince Salman affirmed the Kingdom’s commitment to amplifying its competitiveness through the optimal use of its investment facilities. He emphasised the importance of further strengthening public-private partnerships to advance cross-sector economic development.

His Royal Highness met with the team responsible for the completion of the updated Sijilat 3.0 system, commending their efforts in implementing the Kingdom’s ambitious national plans.

Increasing efficiency

Fakhro highlighted the updates made within the newly developed Sijilat 3.0 system, noting its improvements and services aimed at increasing efficiency. The updated system enables business owners and investors to manage their businesses, complete government procedures and perform services with ease.

He expressed his gratitude for HRH the Crown Prince and Prime Minister’s visit to the ministry, and affirmed that the visit reflects HRH’s commitment and support of the ministry’s development initiatives and efforts undertaken to facilitate procedures and transactions that benefit Bahrain. Fakhro reaffirmed the ministry’s commitment to further its development efforts in line with the Kingdom’s goals and its far-reaching Economic Vision 2030.
