HM King ratifies and issues laws

His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa yesterday ratified and issued Law 14/2021 on endorsing the Kingdom’s accession to the Minamata Convention on Mercury, adopted on October 10, 2013.
Article (2) of Law 14 of 2021 stipulates that according to paragraph (5) of Article (30) of the Minamata Convention on Mercury, the Kingdom of Bahrain declares that “any amendment to an annexe shall enter into force only upon the deposit of its instrument of ratification, acceptance, approval or accession with respect thereto.”
His Majesty King Hamad also ratified and issued Law 13/2021 on endorsing the Kingdom’s accession to the Convention on Registration of Objects Launched into Outer Space, adopted by the UN General Assembly on November 12, 1974.
The Prime Minister and ministers, each in their capacity, shall implement the provisions of the laws, which take effect upon their publication in the Official Gazette.
