Iraq, Iran travel ban to stay

Bahrain has no plans to temporarily lift the ban on travel to Iraq and Iran or any other countries having a high prevalence of COVID-19, an Al Ayam report confirmed. The decision is to support the effort of the National Committee to combat the Coronavirus pandemic.
The report said the decision is in the best interest of the safety and health of citizens and residents in the Kingdom. The ban would help relieve the pressure on medical personnel who are fighting at the frontline to reduce the spread. “There is a need to set the the right atmosphere for them to follow up on current cases and provide them with medical services in the best way possible,” the report said.
