Funeral prayer of Karana bombing martyr held

The funeral prayer of the officer, who died in the bomb blast that occurred in Karana last Friday, was held yesterday in the presence of family, friends, colleagues, government officials and other residents.
Wajdi Saleh Mohsin died, and seven people were injured following the attack by anti-government forces.
Interior ministry said in a statement, the Minister of Interior Lt General Shaikh Rashid bin Abdulla Al Khalifa led the police funeral held in the Police Fort.
The funeral started with the recitation of Holy Quran, following which the coffin of the martyr was brought in by the funeral guards.
Shaikh Rashid handed the MOI flag to the family of the deceased and prayed for his soul. Following the funeral prayer, the martyr’s body was taken to its final resting place.
The interior Minister then offered sincere condolences to the family of the deceased, his relatives and colleagues.
Wajdi is one of the numerous police officers to die due to terrorist attacks since 2011. Naweed Ahmed Nazar and Hamid Rasool Arif died on July 28 following a blast in Sitra. Jordanian policeman Ali Mohammed Ali was killed in an explosion in Dumistan on December 8 last year.
