Minister visits Hidd Industrial Area, BIIP

The Minister of Industry and Commerce, Zayed R. Alzayani visited yesterday Hidd Industrial Area and Bahrain International Investment Park (BIIP) at the Salman Industrial City, accompanied by the Undersecretary of Industry Affairs, Osama Al Orayed and industrial areas team.
During the visit to the industrial sites that accommodate huge international projects, the Minister oversaw the investment attractions of both areas.
“Bahrain has been dedicated to create an investment milieu with international standards that attracts all investments, including industrial projects. All those elements could be found in the BIIP and the Ministry of Industry and Commerce is working to make all industrial areas in Bahrain with the same level,” Alzayani remarked on the occasion.
It is worth mentioning that the BIIP and Hidd Industrial Area are with economic importance as the investment value of both districts are around BD2.2 million and provide job opportunities to 10,000 workers. The 3,200,000-square meter Hidd Industrial Area has 80 companies and the 1,500,000-square metre BIIP accommodate 113 companies.
