Bahrain has made quantum leap in Gardening: Zahra
Manama : Bahrain has achieved a quantum leap in the field of agricultural, horticultural and flower gardening, Head of Bahrain Garden Club Zahra Abdel Malik has said.
“This culture has expanded more than it was before, thanks to the directives of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, the patron of Bahrain International Garden Show (BIGS) and the tremendous efforts of Her Royal Highness Princess Sabeeka bint Ibrahim Al Khalifa that transformed BIGS into a hub for exhibitors from around the globe,” Zahra said.
Bahrain Garden Club is an international club established since 1965, thanks to the support of the Late Amir His Highness Shaikh Isa bin Salman Al Khalifa and membership of citizens and residents who shared the same diligence on agriculture and its future in Bahrain. The club is a member of the UK’s Royal Botanical Society and a member of the British Florists Association, she told Bahrain News Agency.
