Parmar, Mendonca shine

Nilesh Parmar and Adolf Mendonca made it five wins from five and a perfect record to clinch The Late Yousif Khalil Almoayyed Cup Men's Doubles title which concluded on Sunday evening at the Bahrain Tennis Club (BTC) Ramadan Championship at its premises in Juffair.

Parmer and Mendonca cruised through easily defeating Isa Al Sammak and Ammar Saeed 6-1, 6-1 for the title.
The runners-up spot was taken by Naji Al Samahiji and Ahmed Omran who recorded a fourth win as they fought hard to win 7-6(4), 7-5 against Dr Mohammed Al Mosawi and Hussain Al Mosawi who finished third overall.

The final match ended with Dr Hussain Al Mukharraq and Farzam Kazerooni getting the better of Ali Fakhro and Ebrahim Qaed 6-3, 6-4.

This competition featured six pairs playing a single round-robin to determine the winner.
The Late Ahmed Talal Al Mahoozi Cup Singles featuring two groups of four playing round-robin, with Karim Abdul Redha leading Group A and Hassan Abdul Redha ahead in Group B resumes tonight with the final round-robin matches.
The semi-finals are set for tomorrow and the final on Thursday.

In The Late Majid Al Zayani Cup Super Doubles, the final match is set for Friday evening between Ali Al Asfoor and Roy Boutagy against Ahmed Rizk and Kadri Rizk.

Aside from the tennis, a backgammon and Kout Bo6 competition is also taking place during Ramadan.
