Bahrain police officer was shot dozen times
Manama: The off-duty police officer who was targeted and killed in an ambush on his private property on the late hours of Saturday, was ‘shot more than a dozen times,’ it has emerged.
This was revealed in a press release sent to DT News from Bahrain’s embassy in UK. First Lieutenant Hisham Al Hamadi was spending the weekend at his farm in Bilad Al Qadeem when he was fatally attacked by armed assailants and shot more than a dozen times.
Al Hamadi, the son of an Agriculture Ministry official, was well known in the area and typically spent his off-duty time at his farm.
He is survived by his wife and two young daughters. His family members have announced that his body will be laid to rest at around 12.30pm today at Al Hunainiyah graveyard in Riffa.
